Vancouver Hen Party

"Envy" was all the rage as we took the town by storm. Sophie (Jenny), Sandra (Jessie), Summer (Tina), Gizelle (Jessie G.) and I had a fabulously planned weekend of events which included a perfect mix of naughty and nice!

Upon arriving early Saturday afternoon, we started with a little shopping in Gastown. I bought a very foxy outfit thanks to the persusion and bad influence of my friends. We then continued to pamper ourselves with mani's and pedi's at Cadeo Spa. Wonderful place to relax and have a glass of wine and just chill out and be girls.

Then we did a little more shopping before heading off to the hotel to get ready for the big evening. Our hotel was right in the middle of activity on Robson Street. The Pacific Palisades. Fun place with a balcony and great view of the city.

We were further spoiled at dinner with our very own private velvety cozy room at Delilah's in the West End. The food is tremendous and the drinks even better. Our waiter doted and entertained us for hours. We even fit in a rowdy game of "I never". I didn't want to leave. But we had even more excitement ahead.

Equipped with dice and a daring scavenger hunt we were off to the bars. This was great fun. We made quick friends with some locals and hopped from hot spot to hotter spot. Literally. At the last place I was pretty sweaty gross but had had a great time. And I won the hunt! Although Tina was quite a contender.
The next morning was a time to reflect on our fun and the days ahead. Jenny had put together a version of "the dating game" for us to play during brunch. This is where sean had previously answered some questions and I had to guess his answer. I did pretty well. I didn't know what a springbok is, but that is the animal sean thinks I am. I love it!

We flushed out the toxins in our body with a brisk morning run and a swim and then satisfied our minds with some culture that afternoon. The trip came to an end with a trip to the Vancouver Art Museum to see the Aurther Erickson exhibit.
Thanks to all the wonderful women, Jenny, Jessie, Jessie and Tina and for sharing such a special time with me in my final days before the big day. Thanks to Jenny for all your love and support as you planned a perfect weekend that completely and absolutely spoiled me.

Kayak Tours on Alki

Since Sunday is going to be a big "play day" on Alki Beach after the rehearsal lunch, Sean and I thought it might be fun to get a group together for a guided kayak tour around the beach. Please see the link for more information.
There will be two scheduled tours. The first group will leave the dock at 10:00 and return at 1:00. This will allow you a little time afterwards to clean up, gather your stuff and get over to the Bath House for lunch. Those participating in the 12:00 rehearsal will not be able to ride in this tour.
The second group will go from 5:00-7:00pm.
There is room for 11 people in each tour. Please let Julie know which tour you are interested in. Once I am sure who is going on what tour, I will provide you with more specific instructions for parking, etc.

Salmon Fishing in the Puget Sound

If you are interested going on a salmon fishing charter, please let Sean or I know. We will try to coordinate days and times among the guests. I will update this as I gather more information. Happy fishing!

(and if you just want to watch the salmon from the land, I would suggest visiting the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks in Ballard.)
Thank you for visiting our wedding site! See you in July!
